-
- That's when AT should get some stones and tell the dealers, "Look, we
- really appreciate your loyalty, but we're going to mass-market this
- thing because it'll help make it a success, and you're going to benefit
- as well from increased availability." The thing is, AT went right back
- to the old "infrastructure" instead of looking for alternative
- solutions. You said it perfectly: by using that old infrastructure,
- look where C= ended up.

- CH> The problem is marketing! Which there is a serious lack of in US.

- The problem isn't marketing; the SOLUTION is marketing!
-
- CH> : No. Most businesses, once busted, try to actually follow the law.
- CH> : Wal-Mart thinks they're above the law or a law unto themselves.
-
- CH> Like a certain software company.
-
- Damn right. Both M$ and Wal-Mart have been busted by the Justice
- Department for illegal business practices.
-
- CH> : So, tell me, Chris, why are you fighting in FAVOR of Wal-Mart? What
- CH> : are your reasons?
-
- CH> No, I don't work at Wal-Mart. I just mentioned them because they are a
- CH> mass marketer that is in many cities in the southern US. It could just
- CH> as well be Sears, or some other mass market or better yet, all of them.
-
- As I said, Chris, you're coming in from Texarkana, in the heart of
- Wal-mart Country, and I understand you using them. I just have a very
- sore spot when it comes to that particular corporation. I want the
- Amiga to be mass-marketed; I really would prefer that it wasn't
- Wal-Mart. Besides, don't you think that Wal-Mart would present the
- wrong image of the Amiga?
